Petr Hlobil

After graduating from Technical University, Petr started working as a project designer in the energy industry. Since 1991 he has worked for NGOs (Children of the Earth, Greenpeace) on energy and nuclear issues. In 1995 he founded the Centre for Transport and Energy that assists NGOs with activists' training, the preparation of background materials and brochures, consulting etc.
Petr currently focuses on energy and extractive industries issues and works on increasing public awareness through the media on issues such as energy efficiency, climate change, energy policy and the investments of the Multilateral Development Banks. He has co-authored and edited a number of publications on these issues.
He has been working with CEE Bankwatch Network since 1996 and is currently Campaigns' Coordinator.
