Fidanka became CEE Bankwatch's Network's Coordinator for Southeastern Europe in June 2004 and has been working for the NGO Za Zemiata in Sofia, Bulgaria .
Previously, throughout 2004, she was involved in the Bluelink Information Network as a Campaign Coordinator on the Belene nuclear power plant. Between 2001 and 2002 she was a volunteer at an environmental NGO in Timisoara, Romania. Her involvement in the green movement in Bulgaria dates back to 1997.
Fidanka studied Environmental Science and Policy at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, and holds a Bachelors degree in Southeast European Studies from the American University in Bulgaria. She has taken an undergraduate course in the Biosphere 2 Center of Columbia University in Arizona, USA.
